Not even remotely generic fantasy. Beyond the dragons, every typical fantasy trope is treated as old wives tales, just like our fantasy tales of the medieval period. Which relates to viewers who dislike fantasy. When I think generic fantasy, I sure as fuck don't think of zombies. I think of wizards, elves, and orcs fighting in forests to save the damsel in distress from the evil wizard who wants to control or destroy the world. But even if we pretend it is, it's irrelevant to what gave it popularity.
